They will graduate, be college or career ready, with the skills necessary to achieve success in the 21st century. Unique Programs Throughout the Sisters School District, students have an opportunity to take programs and classes that are hard to find anywhere else. Classes like Chinese, Interdisciplinary Experiential Education, or our Luthier program. Recognition & Reports The Oregon Department of Education produces annual report cards for schools and districts. These reports provide educators with an opportunity to communicate directly with parents and community members about how local schools are performing. Our History The first school in the Sisters school district, then District #9, Crook County, was built about 1885 although Crook County records show money had been allotted to the district in 1883. There were 30 children on the census in 1885. Grant & Title Information The six programs are High School Success, Student Investment Account, Continuous Improvement Planning, Career and Technical Education, Every Day Matters and Early Indicators Systems. This weekend the Unified Outlaws took part in the Polar Plunge at Riverbend Park. The Unified Outlaws raised over SHS Pie in the Face On February 6th, 14 outstanding seniors from Sisters High School upheld a long-standing tradition of getting pied in the face Elementary School Construction Work continues on the new Elementary school, which is anticipated to be completed in the fall of 2024. Students must earn 26 credits to graduate, with specific requirements that include four years of English and three years of both Mathematics and Science. The high school offers a wide variety of electives, including advanced courses in mathematics, science, foreign language, technology and the arts. We are Sisters Outlaws – committed to graduating from high school, prepared for college and work. We are Sisters teachers – inspiring students to learn and achieve at the highest levels. We are administrators and leaders – building positive learning communities focused on academic achievement. We are the support staff – who understand that our students and teachers must be safe, healthy, and supported in order to achieve at the highest possible levels.
